Created in 2012, MuSo Nabonswendé brings together 12 women who contribute small amounts each month. When the fund reaches a certain amount, one of the women can take out a loan in turn. MuSo is not just about money; it allows them to solve problems collectively and fight together for a better future.
‘With the support of my MuSo group, UBTEC and SOS Faim, I became a seed producer. After training, I started producing basic seeds: millet, cowpeas, sesame and sorghum, on 6 hectares, and selling my production to the government. This guarantees me a secure income at a price set in advance. Thanks to the profits generated by these savings, I can now feed my family and pay for my children’s schooling. Life has really changed. The solidarity and mutual aid within our MuSo gives me a lot of strength, and I continue to invest in my farm. I can now feed my family and pay for my children’s schooling. Life has really changed.’
